December 16, 2014

SYDNEY, NS - New District 10 Councillor Darrell Flynn will swear an oath before council meets tonight at City Hall.

Tonight's regular council meeting begins at 6:00 pm. Justice Ken Haley will administer the oath.

Flynn was elected in a December 6 by-election. Today, December 16, at 4:30pm, the deadline passed for applications for recount, ensuring Flynn's election victory is now official.

Mayor Cecil Clarke says he welcomes Flynn's "experience and leadership" at the council table.

"I'm looking forward to working with Darrell Flynn to continue to advance the positive change plan for CBRM," said Clarke. "His experience as a business owner and community leader is welcomed and valued."
