The next general Municipal Election will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024. 

Elections in the municipality

Municipal elections are an incredibly important part of local governance and affect the day-to-day lives of residents throughout the municipality.  From waste collection to public safety to transit and beyond, municipal government shapes how residents and visitors live, work, play, and invest in the municipality.

General municipal elections take place every four years, with the next election taking place on October 19, 2024.  Qualified residents will vote for:

• Mayor
• Councillor (in their district)
• Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) Member (if applicable)

Electoral boundaries

The electoral boundaries are changing! Previously approved, the boundary changes will be in effect for the upcoming election.  You can find the new boundaries 2024 district maps and information
