NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETINGS
REGARDING A PROPOSAL BY HARBOUR ROYALE DEVELOPMENTS TO CONSTRUCT A MIXED RESIDENTIAL/COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT ON THE ESPLANADE IN SYDNEY
Harbour Royale Developments is proposing to construct a multi storey mixed residential/commercial development on the Esplanade in Sydney, near the foot of Dorchester Street. The site of the proposed development is shown on the map below.

The site in question is within the jurisdiction of the North End Sydney Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw, which was adopted by CBRM Council in 2006. The policies for this section of the North
End waterfront were written to accommodate a specific development project that was being promoted in 2006. That particular project never proceeded. The current proposal by Harbour Royale differs from the 2006 project in several respects and for that reason the policies of the North End Secondary Planning Strategy must be amended if the development is to proceed.
Two public sessions are being scheduled to provide community members with an opportunity to view and comment on the plans prepared by Harbour Royale.
The meetings will be held in the Community Room, Sydney Civic Centre, 320 Esplanade, Sydney on the following dates:
September 29, 2015
7 pm to 9 pm – Informal Open House- plans will be available for viewing
October 5, 2015
7 pm to 9 pm- Presentation of plans,
followed by a Question and Answer Session
Everyone is welcome to attend. Inquiries may be directed to Rick McCready, Senior Planner, at 902-563-5072 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
