2017 Trashformer Program

2017 Trashformer Program

The 2017 Trashformer Team:  Watch for them this summer

Be on the Look Out for this summer's Trashformer Team.  Monday to Friday this summer, Sara Hamilton, Jonah Hudec, Jesse MacIntyre, Christine MacDonald and Nick Collishaw will be visiting communities across CBRM to remove litter.  Watch for them in their White Trashformer Truck visiting areas across CBRM to cleanup litter.  Remember, all litter & debris have a disposal option and it’s NOT our community street and neighborhoods.

Let’s all help the Trashformer's, by NOT LITTERING!   Let’s Keep CBRM Litter Free.

ACAP Trashformer Program

The ACAP Trashformers were created as a result of a partnership formed between the CBRM Solid Waste Department and ACAP Cape Breton to rid our beautiful community of litter and debris. The Trashformers were trashformed into a group of trash busters in late May of 2011.  Each summer, since the creation of Trashformers, a new group of dedicated, hardworking students have joined the Trashformer team to fight litter across CBRM. It’s a tough battle but the Trashformers are up to the challenge.

This summer, the Trashformers will continue to work hard to remove litter and debris from CBRM streets and public areas. You can help them by disposing of your litter responsibly. Our streets, roadways and public areas are not a community garbage can. We all need to respect our environment by keeping it clean and beautiful all year round.

Follow the 2017 Trashformer Team's progress each season as the team transforms community streets and public areas by removing litter, debris and other materials left behind on our streets, roadways, ditches and public areas.
