Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ and SKILLS) Application Deadline

CBRM Recreation Department is urging all Non Profit Organizations and community groups who require summer students to apply directly to Canada Summer Jobs Program.

The deadline to apply for Federal Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) is February 2, 2018, and the deadline to apply for the Provincial SKILLS Program is January 26, 2018.

Please keep in mind that last year in honor of Canada 150 additional student funding was made available throughout Canada for summer jobs. Unfortunately, this additional funding is not available this year; therefore, student resources through CBRM may be limited. We are recommending that all registered Non Profit Organizations and charity groups who require summer students apply directly to the Federal Government Summer Student program & Provincial SKILLS program as soon as possible.

The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) is an initiative of the Summer Work Experience program offered by the Government of Canada that offers 100% student wage funding for Non Profit Organizations. The Student Summer Skills Incentive (SKILLS) offers wage assistance to non-profit organizations that provide summer jobs to post-secondary students.

Applications for these programs are available online at:
