The Trashformers tracked the following information during the summer of 2016:

• Number of garbage bags filled with litter and debris.
• The weight of these materials removed from municipal streets and public areas.

The Trashformers also tracked common litter items they removed. The common items tracked included:

• Refundables (glass, plastic bottles & cans)
• Fast food packaging
• Hot drink cups
• Cold drink cups
• Cigarette packages
• Cigarette Butts

Week 10 of Trashformer Program: August 1, 2016 – August 5, 2016

51 bags of litter and debris were filled at a weight of 360 kgs or 0.36 tonnes.

The Trashformers removed:

770          Hot drink cups

110          Cold drink cups

215          Cigarette packages

190          Cigarette butts

0              Sharps (needles)

Week 11 of Trashformer Program: August 8, 2016 – August 12, 2016

78 bags of litter and debris were filled at a weight of 430 kgs or 0.43 tonnes.

The Trashformers removed:

150          Refundable items

880          Fast food wrappers

950          Hot drink cups

115          Cold drink cups

185          Cigarette packages

255          Cigarette butts

1              Sharps (needles)

Week 12 of Trashformer Program: August 15, 2016 – August 19, 2016

52 bags of litter and debris were filled at a weight of 395 kgs or 0.95 tonnes.

The Trashformers removed:

387          Hot drink cups

71           Cold drink cups

55           Cigarette packages

8             Cigarette butts

181 garbage bags were filled with litter and debris at a weight of 1,185 kg or 1.19 tonnes for the month of August.
