CBRM budget stakeholder sessions planned for February 5

Council has set aside Monday, February 5 to hear from community members and organizations with funding requests for the municipality that fall outside of the Municipal Grants Program Policy.

Interested organizations should submit their presentation to the Clerk’s Office by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31. Presentations fitting the criteria will be assigned a presentation time during the February 5 session between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Acceptable presentations are those with budget implications for the municipality, such as requests for funding or municipal service enhancements that would impact operating and capital budgets. Presentations may include Municipal Grants Program requests of over $25,000 or funding requests, which fall outside of the Municipal Grants Program eligibility criteria.  Any requests within the guidelines of the policy should not present at this session. This generally includes requests less than $25,000, which should be directed to the Municipal Grants application process which commences in April 2018.
