Mayor and Council to host One Nova Scotia summit for CBRM residents

SYDNEY, NS - In response to the One Nova Scotia report released on February 15, Cape Breton Regional Municipality council voted unanimously to host a summit to review the report and to provide a thoughtful community response.

The summit will be held at Centre200 on Monday, April 14 beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 3:00 pm.

The One Nova Scotia report, sub-titled "Now or Never: An Urgent Call to Action for Nova Scotians", outlined a plan forward for Nova Scotia's economy. It can be found online at www.oneNS.ca.

The summit agenda will feature video remarks by Dr. Ray Ivany, chair of the Nova Scotia Commission on Building Our New Economy. Guest speakers and special guest panelists and CBRM councillors will facilitate discussions.

There is no cost to attend the conference. A bag lunch is provided. Seating is limited and reg
