SYDNEY, NS - Residents of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality are encouraged to take time on Monday and Tuesday to vote in the online Kraft Project Play competition.

Munro Park in North Sydney is one of four finalists for a $250,000 Grand Prize.

Northside Soccer uses Munro Park as a home field and is used extensively by residents for other physical activity. The soccer organization nominated the park for the contest and it was selected as a finalist from over 700 entries.

“The organizers have done a great job and now it’s up the community to take it all the way to the grand prize,” said Mayor Cecil Clarke. “We hope people will share this widely on social media to spread the word and get a lot of votes.”

Voting starts at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 17 and ends at 1:00 am on Wednesday, August 19. Residents are encouraged to vote as often as they can during this period. The contest website is at www.kraftprojectplay.com

“This contest is an incredible opportunity. We would like to thank Kraft Project Play and their partners, TSN, for this substantial investment in sports facilities,” said Clarke. “We are encouraging all residents of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality to roll up their sleeves on Monday and Tuesday and support Munro Park by voting online.”

The grand prize winner will be announced on August 21.
