New dates set for Northside budget consultation meetings

Sydney Mines and North Sydney meetings rescheduled for February 24
SYDNEY, NS - New dates are set for two budget consultation meetings on the Northside that had been cancelled due to weather.

The District 1 budget consultation meeting is rescheduled for Sunday, February 24 at 3:00 pm at the Sydney Mines Fire Hall.

The District 2 budget consultation meeting is rescheduled for Sunday, February 24 at 6:00 pm at the North Sydney Royal Canadian Legion Branch 19.

All residents of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality are encouraged to attend a meeting in their own district to participate in the planning and priority-setting for the region's $137 million budget. The dates of other upcoming meetings are:

Monday, February 25 – District 11: Scotchtown Fire Hall at 6:30 pm
Tuesday, February 26 – District 8: Albert Bridge Fire Hall at 6:30 pm
Sunday, March 3 – District 5: Civic Centre Community Room at 2:00 pm
Sunday, March 3 – District 12: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 128, Whitney Pier at 7:00 pm

Meetings in Dominion and Glace Bay were cancelled yesterday and will be rescheduled.
