Statement from Mayor Cecil Clarke on the resignation of Councillor Darren Bruckschwaiger
September 3, 2014
I would like to express my thanks to Darren Bruckschwaiger for years of service as Cape Breton Regional Municipality Councillor. I wish every future success and happiness to Darren, his wife Cindy and family in the years ahead.
Darren has made an exceptional commitment to public life. He has a long record of service to his community, having served on the council of the former Town of Dominion from 1988 to 1995 and re-elected in 1997 where he served as a CBRM Councillor to this day. Councillor Bruckschwaiger served District 10, an area encompassing Dominion, Gardiner Mines and parts of Reserve Mines and Glace Bay.
