CBRM partners with TALO Cafebar for food and beverage at the Glace Bay Miners Forum

SYDNEY, NS – CBRM will partner with TALO Cafebar to provide food and beverage services for the Glace Bay Miners Forum, which reopened in late October 2020. This follows a competitive procurement process in late 2019 where TALO was the successful bidder.
Under the terms of the five-year agreement, TALO will manage the Forum’s food and beverage program, including the canteen, community room and restaurant and lounge. The canteen opened on November 1. The restaurant and lounge and community room will open in early 2021. Plans include a sports bar atmosphere and pub menu offering and catering for weddings, reunions, and special events.

TALO Cafebar opened downtown Glace Bay in February 2015. The two locations are expected to employ up to 30 when fully operational, with managers Craig MacDonald, Rita Murphy, Derick Morrison and Colin Appleton partnering with Houston as part-owners at the Forum.
