UPDATE: CBRM EVACUATION DIRECTIVE

Some residents now allowed back in their units at 297 Rotary Drive.  

Based on continued assessments, residents in units on one side of the building are now permitted back into their apartments. These units have functioning electricity and are deemed safe for re-entry.  

UNITS/APARTMENTS STILL UNDER EVACUATION DIRECTIVE:

113, 115, 117,
213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 218,
313, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318,
413, 414, 415, 416, 417, 418  

Equalling 21 units still under evacuation directive, with 51 people affected.  

The evacuation of the above listed units is still necessary to protect the safety of residents living in the area of the apartment complex that has sustained severe damage and flooding during the high winds and rain. The directive is issued for reasons of protecting the health, safety, and welfare of occupants in the above noted properties, and to remove them from present and imminent danger.

 Stipulations have been put in place for the building owner for the re-entry of approximately half of the tenants, including security on each floor, as well as fire watch to ensure the re-entering public are protected from fires.

 Evaluations will continue and more information will be shared when available.  

Emergency Shelter Information:

Centre 200 remains open as an Emergency Shelter.
