UARB Public Hearing

NOVA SCOTIA UTILITY AND REVIEW BOARD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING  

JOHN AND THERESA MACNEIL have made an appeal to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board from a decision of Council for Cape Breton Regional Municipality to refuse an amendment to the Land Use By-Law for property identified as PID 15225733, Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

This matter will be considered in a public hearing as follows: 

Hearing starts: Thursday, April 8, 2021 by videoconference 9:30 AM

Evening Session: Thursday, April 8, 2021 by video conference 6:30 PM

Hearing Location: Offices of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board
1601 Lower Water Street, 3rd Floor
Halifax, Nova Scotia  


You may speak at the hearing. You must notify the Board by Thursday, March 11, 2021  

You may make written comments by sending a letter to the Clerk of the Board at P.O. Box 1692, Unit “M”, Halifax, NS B3J 3S3,

You may request formal standing as an Intervenor, subject to Board approval. This will allow you to present evidence or cross-examine witnesses. Your request must be received by the Board by Thursday, February 25, 2021, and a copy of your written evidence by Tuesday, March 9, 2021 for Intervenors supporting the Appellant, and by Friday, March 19, 2021, for Intervenors supporting the Municipality 

Public attendance at Board hearings is currently not permitted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
