MUNICIPAL UPDATE - Wednesday, Feb. 7, 9:30 am
If you are cleared and can safely access main roadways, more and more grocers and hardware stores are able to open to replenish your supplies. Check on your neighbours who are not able to do the same.
Do what you can to help in your neighbourhood. Kudos to the Canadian Coast Guard College Cadets and others who are out in neighbourhoods today and tomorrow clearing doorways, walkways and driveways.
If you don’t have a plan in place to clear access to your home, please fill in this form so we can track the needs in the community: https://cbrm.frontlinesvc.com/app/ask
More help is arriving daily. If you are arriving in CBRM to assist, send an email with the details of how you can help and our 311 Centre will coordinate and deploy you to areas needing clearing. Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
If you are wondering who is responsible plowing your road (CBRM or Government of Nova Scotia), here’s the link to check for contact info: https://www.cbrm.ns.ca/who-plows-my-road.html
Transit, Solid Waste and Municipal facilities are not open today.
