Call to Haul
Call to Haul is CBRM’s year‑round large‑item pickup service. Residents can schedule a Call to Haul appointment of up to five bulky household items at a time. You can use this service multiple times throughout the year.
This program replaces the former annual heavy garbage pickup and provides a more flexible, on‑demand option for disposing of large household items.
Before booking an appointment, please review the information below.
Who Can Use Call to Haul
The service is available to residents living in:
- Single‑family homes, including mobile homes
- Duplexes, row houses, and townhouses where each unit has street frontage
- Apartment buildings with up to six units
How Call to Haul Works
You may place up to five items per appointment.
Only items approved during booking will be collected.
2. Book an AppointmentYou can book online or by calling 311.
3. Prepare for Pickup
- Place your confirmed items at the curb by 6 a.m. on your scheduled day.
- Items must not be placed on the road or block sidewalks.
- Items placed incorrectly, at the wrong address, or exceeding the five‑item limit will not be picked up.
- Only items approved during booking will be collected.
Accepted Items
Residents can schedule pickup for a wide range of large household items. Select a category to view examples.
Items Not Accepted
Regular garbage and blue bags are not accepted through Call‑to‑Haul and must be placed out on your regular collection day.
If you’re unsure about an item, call 311 and staff will advise you on proper disposal.
