When to Expect Your Water Bill
Water bills are mailed out every three months. When you receive your bill depends on where you live. Find your area below to see when to expect your bill.
Bills mailed in January, April, July, and October
- Dominion
- New Waterford
- Sydney 4 (Ashby)
- Glace Bay 2 (Bridgeport and parts of Glace Bay)
- Wastewater only customers
Bills mailed in February, May, August, and November
- County (Point Aconi, Leitches Creek)
- North Sydney
- Sydney Mines
- Sydney 5 and 6 (South Bar and Pier)
- Glace Bay 3 (Reserve Mines, Dominion St, Tower Road)
Bills mailed in March, June, September, and December
- Sydney 1 (Downtown Sydney)
- Sydney 2 (Kings Road, Sydney River, Prime Brook)
- Sydney 3 (Hardwood Hill, Mira Road, Morrison Road)
- Louisbourg
- Glace Bay 1 (main parts of Glace Bay, Table Head)

Ways to Pay
In Person
- Visit the Citizen Service Centre, 320 Esplanade, Sydney, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Visit your bank or credit union
Online Banking
- Add Cape Breton Regional Municipality Water as a payee through your financial institution
Credit Card (via Paymentus)
Please note: Paymentus charges a convenience fee of 1.75%

Water bills are typically due 40 to 45 days after they are mailed. The due date is listed on your bill.
