The CBRM Volunteer Awards recognize citizens who have made outstanding volunteer
contributions to recreation in our community. The following 3 awards are:
Anne Holland Memorial Award- Outstanding Community Volunteer
To recognize an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the inception and
growth of community opportunities within the field of recreation.
Gary McDonald Memorial Award- Outstanding Volunteer Group or Project
Presented to a volunteer group to recognize an outstanding project that improves recreation
opportunities in the CBRM.
Youth Volunteer Award- Outstanding Youth Volunteer
Students throughout the Cape Breton Regional Municipality who attend area schools or
postsecondary institutions will be considered for this award. Open to students 25 years and
younger.
