Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Louisbourg – August 6

The Cape Breton Regional Municipality advises that the boil water advisory for Louisbourg has been cancelled. Water sampling has confirmed that the water is safe for consumption and regular use.

Residents no longer need to boil their water before drinking, preparing infant formula, making ice, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking, or brushing teeth.

The advisory was issued following a major water main break in Louisbourg yesterday, Wednesday, August 6. Repairs have been completed and water quality testing has verified that the system meets all safety requirements.
