Planned Water Shutoff in Glace Bay – September 21, 2026

A planned water shutoff will take place on Monday, September 21, starting at 9 a.m. in the MacLeods Crossing – Steeles Hill area of Glace Bay. Water service is expected to be restored by 6 p.m.

The shutoff is necessary to complete connections on MacLeods Road as part of ongoing water infrastructure upgrades.

All affected streets and properties are outlined in the map attached to this post. Only customers inside the mapped area will experience the shutoff.

The following streets and areas will be affected:
– MacLeods Road (Reserve Street to Dominion Street)
– Dominion Street (MacLeods Road to Highland Street)
– Highland Street (Dominion Street to Grove Street)
– Carendalee Crescent
– Copley Street
– Smith Street
– Norwood Street
– Steeles Hill Road
– Harrington Street
– MacLennan Street
– Simpson Lane
– Wilson Road (MacLeods Road to Civic 135 Wilson Road)
– Dutch Lane
