11 a.m. (initial update)- There is a water main break at the intersection of Union St and Center St in Sydney. Crews are on-site and working to repair the issue.
If you live close to the area, you may temporarily be without water. Others across Sydney may notice lower pressure.

12 p.m. (second update)- More residents across Sydney may now be experiencing little to no water pressure as the water main break continues to affect the system.
At this time, there is no estimated restoration time available. Crews remain on-site working to resolve the issue.
City Hall is closed to the public for the remainder of the day due to the loss of water service in the building.
Some local businesses are also closing because of the water outage. Residents are encouraged to check for business closures before heading out.
Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
12:30 p.m. (third update)- The water main break has now been isolated.
Residents near Union St and Center St in Sydney may continue to experience no to low water pressure while crews work on repairs.
All other areas of Sydney should begin to see their water pressure restored.
