Used Batteries
Used batteries are not accepted curbside for collection or for disposal at the Waste Management Facility on SPAR Road in Sydney. These items have been banned from disposal since January 1, 2025.
CBRM's Residential Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Site accepts used batteries for free from residents. The Residential Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Site address is:

Accepted Products:
- A, AA, AAA, C, D and 9-volt batteries
- Button and coin batteries (used in hearing aids, watches, musical greeting cards)
- Rechargeable battery packs from power tools (under 5 kgs)
- E-bike and E-scooter batteries
