Propane Tank Disposal
Propane tanks are not accepted curbside for collection. Propane tanks are also not accepted for disposal at the Waste Management Facility on SPAR Road in Sydney.
The small 1 pound or picnic size propane tanks can be returned to CBRM’s Residential Household Special Waste Depot at no charge. CBRM's Residential Household Special Waste Depot is located in the Sydport Industrial Park:

The larger size propane tanks can be returned to Supreme Tank Inc. Supreme Tank Inc. is also located in the Sydport Industrial Park:
